Crisina Cassá

PSYCHOLOGIST

At Crisálida Psicología, my name is Cristina Cassá Maimó, and I have always felt a deep vocation for psychological support and the development of mental health. My academic journey began at Universidad Jaume I, where I earned a degree in Psychology and specialized in Clinical Psychology, completing a master's in Neuropsychology, Psychopathology, and Mental Health. This training allowed me to receive the qualification as a General Health Psychologist.

My professional experience has been diverse and enriching, starting with work as an educator in a foster care center for minors, and continuing with research at the Affective Sexual Research Unit (SALUSEX) at Universidad Jaume I. Here, I dedicated myself to developing projects related to the promotion of sexual health and HIV prevention, as well as participating in various psychology conferences. Later, I worked in the field of addictions, supporting individuals in the process of alcohol withdrawal.

One of the most transformative periods of my career was my time at the Pi Gros Juvenile Re-education Center, where I performed both educational and psychological roles. Here, I had the opportunity to work with minors and families in at-risk situations, developing prevention and intervention programs, and coordinating with social services to promote reintegration and well-being. This stage inspired me to specialize in systemic family therapy, aware of the importance of family systems in the emergence and treatment of psychological disorders.

After 12 years of working with minors, families, and groups at risk of social exclusion, I decided to open my private practice in Castellón, where I continue my work of support and guidance. My therapeutic approach has been enriched with training in EMDR, a technique specialized in the treatment of trauma and attachment, which allows me to help people heal at a deeper level, beyond traditional cognitive-behavioral approaches.

Currently, I am an active member of the Division of Clinical and Health Psychology (PCyS), the Division of Psychotherapy (dPsiT), and the EMDR Association of Spain, which allows me to stay in touch with advances in my profession and participate in a constant update of my knowledge. My commitment is to offer a safe and empathetic space where we can work together to heal and grow, from a comprehensive approach tailored to the individual needs of each person. I am at your disposal to accompany you in this process of transformation and well-being.
